Inverter control

When you connect FoxESS and enable the smart scheduler (or use manual battery controls), you agree that:
  • You authorise PilotWatt to send schedule and mode commands to your inverter using the API credentials you provide
  • You remain solely responsible for your inverter, battery, and energy system
  • PilotWatt is not liable for missed export windows, suboptimal schedules, or any financial loss
  • Manual changes in the FoxESS app may be overwritten by the scheduler
  • You can disable the scheduler at any time in Settings
  • PilotWatt operates on a best-efforts basis — scheduled runs may be delayed or missed
PilotWatt can change your inverter’s work mode when the scheduler is enabled. If you need full manual control, turn off the scheduler in Settings before making changes in the FoxESS app.
Disabling the scheduler stops automatic daily pushes. Your existing FoxESS schedule stays in place until you change it yourself.

Acceptable use

PilotWatt is intended for UK residential homes with a FoxESS inverter and Octopus export tariff. During the alpha period, commercial use is not supported — do not use PilotWatt to manage sites you do not live at, or for business energy operations.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of PilotWatt after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.
