No. PilotWatt respects FoxESS min/max SoC limits. Force export is blocked below ~20% for manual control; the scheduler uses your configured minimum on grid (Force Discharge targets 20% SoC / 10% min on grid in schedule periods).
Your inverter keeps the last pushed schedule. FoxESS runs Mode Scheduler independently. Manual overrides last ~30 minutes as merged periods on today’s plan (with rare FoxESS fallbacks that may temporarily replace the rest of today).
No. Only an API token you generate in Fox Cloud. Stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM). Revoke anytime in FoxESS API Management.
Export totals come from Octopus settled half-hourly readings — often 24–48h delayed. The Home hero shows settled export earnings for the month; charging costs are estimates from scheduler logs and are not subtracted from that hero in alpha.
Not today. The optimiser and scheduler target variable Agile Outgoing rates. Fixed SEG support may come later.
The smart scheduler overwrites FoxESS Mode Scheduler once per day at 16:30 UTC (5:30pm BST / 4:30pm GMT). Disable the scheduler in Settings if you want full manual control in FoxESS. Keep Mode Scheduler enabled and Charging Time disabled on the inverter.
Home shows intent in plain English. Self-use mode while waiting for an export window is described as saving battery — not the raw inverter mode name.
PilotWatt is a web app with PWA support — add to home screen on iOS/Android from your browser.
Detection still runs overnight when enabled, but Home and History EV cards are hidden in the alpha build until Hypervolt integration ships.
