# Requirements

> Hardware, tariffs, and optional equipment supported by PilotWatt.

## Hardware

| Item     | Requirement                                                          |
| -------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Inverter | FoxESS (any model with Cloud API access)                             |
| Battery  | Any storage paired with your FoxESS inverter (brand does not matter) |
| Location | UK — used for Agile GSP region and solar forecast                    |

| Fixed export / SEG                  | No          | Not supported yet                                       |

## Optional

* One or two EVs — timing suggestions from the optimiser; no direct vehicle API
* Overnight EV detection via FoxESS grid import — runs in the background when enabled; **Home/History UI hidden in alpha**
* Hypervolt Home 2 — **coming soon** for live charger data

## Not supported yet

* GivEnergy, SolarEdge, SolarMan inverters
* Non-UK installations
* Other export tariffs or suppliers
* Automated EV charger control without your confirmation
